The Vintage Bunkhouse

Where Handpicked Treasures and Homegrown Pleasures Await

Welcome to The Vintage Bunkhouse, where history and upcycled charm converge to offer you a unique shopping experience steeped in tradition and sustainability.

Our journey began in June 2021, nestled within the storied walls of an old bunkhouse on our 1908 farm. What was once a structure echoing with the past now resounds with creativity and craftsmanship, having been lovingly restored and transformed into an enchanting vintage upcycled furniture store.

In a short period, our passion for giving new life to forgotten pieces resonated with our patrons, allowing us to expand into the adjacent metal barn shop. This marked the first of many milestones. By September 2022, our dreams and endeavors outgrew the farm's pastures, leading us to the historic downtown Fruitland where we opened our second location.

The inception of The Vintage Bunkhouse traces back over ten years when the therapeutic hobby of salvaging and restoring furniture became a lifeline for a dedicated paramedic. This leisure pursuit, aimed at decompressing from demanding shifts, unexpectedly flourished into a full-fledged enterprise. Each piece of furniture, meticulously hand-picked, began its new journey in a different abode. This passion for revitalization took me from my initial days as a vendor in the sunny state of California to wholeheartedly adopting the vibrant artisan culture in Idaho.

Having hung up my paramedic’s hat, my entire focus shifted towards The Vintage Bunkhouse. I now fully commit my time into discovering distinctive finds and cultivating a hub for local artisans to share their craft. The establishment is more than just a store; it's a canvas where creativity, community spirit, and the heartfelt dedication of crafters converge to create something truly special.

But The Vintage Bunkhouse is more than just a store; it's a lifestyle that echoes through Burke Valley Farm, our agricultural haven. For nearly a decade, we've been deeply rooted in the principles of regenerative farming and sustainable living. We take pride in growing crisp vegetables, nurturing chickens for their eggs, and bringing the fruits of our labor directly to your hands—ensuring that what you take home is fresh, local, and infused with care.

Join us at The Vintage Bunkhouse, where every visit brings you closer to a world where the past is repurposed, artisanship is celebrated, and the simplicity of farm-to-table living is woven into your everyday life. We're not just preserving history; we're enriching the future—one restored piece, one fresh egg, one homegrown vegetable at a time.
